Our migration journey from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 for the Philippine Statistics Authority's website marked a pivotal moment in modernizing their online platform. The process began with a thorough assessment of the existing Drupal 7 architecture, identifying the essential modules and customization that needed to be migrated. Alquin Rex Domenden and Johnny Santos, part of the Content Migration Team, led the migration of all content types—ranging from statistical reports to interactive forms—ensuring that every piece of information was seamlessly transitioned. With careful attention to preserving the integrity and accessibility of the content, we ensured that all critical statistical data and reports were accurately migrated while enhancing the site's performance and security.
Following the successful transition to Drupal 9, the team, led by Gerald Sarzona as the Team Leader, moved forward with upgrading to Drupal 10. Rusyl Narito took the lead on module development, server-side functionalities, and backend integrations, ensuring a smooth migration of all necessary modules and updating custom code to leverage the new features of Drupal 10. The final result was a highly optimized and user-friendly platform that perfectly meets the Philippine Statistics Authority’s needs. Through careful planning and collaboration, we not only preserved content but also delivered a scalable and secure website, ready to meet future demands and continue serving the public efficiently.
