About

Who We Are

R4TKN is an independent maker-driven lab focused on IoT, firmware, RF systems, and experimental tooling.
We design, build, and document real hardware and software—prioritizing hands-on learning, transparency, and practical results over hype.

This space exists to explore how systems behave in the real world: radios, networks, embedded devices, and the software that connects them.

What We Build

Our projects span multiple layers of modern systems—from low-level firmware to user-facing tools:

  • Embedded Firmware

    • Custom firmware for Wi-Fi, BLE, and RF-based devices
    • Menu systems for TFT/OLED displays
    • UART, BLE, and serial-based control interfaces
  • Wireless & RF Experiments

    • Wi-Fi scanning, monitoring, and protocol research
    • Dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) exploration
    • Sub-GHz, NRF24, BLE, and signal analysis tools
  • Hardware Projects

    • Custom PCB designs and development boards
    • ESP-class and RTL-based platforms
    • Battery-powered and portable devices
  • Systems & Automation

    • Python tooling for device control and testing
    • Desktop and web utilities to support firmware workflows
    • Lightweight dashboards and experiment logs

Every project is built with education, repeatability, and clarity in mind.

Flagship Projects

Some of the work you’ll see here includes:

  • Spectra Drive
A wardriving-inspired console combining wireless scanning, GPS data, and a dedicated device UI.

  • Ghost Deauther
A dual-band experimental platform focused on wireless behavior, protections, and device UX—not brute force.

  • Firmware UI Systems
Reusable menu frameworks and interface patterns for small screens and embedded controls.

These projects evolve continuously as tools, boards, and ideas improve.

Our Philosophy

  • Build first, explain clearly
  • Learn by testing, not guessing
  • Respect systems—understand before modifying
  • Open documentation beats closed hype

This is not about shortcuts or misuse—it’s about understanding how technology actually works.

Open & Community-Driven

Most projects are:

  • Open for learning and discussion
  • Shared through code, diagrams, and videos
  • Designed so others can replicate or extend them

Collaboration, feedback, and idea-sharing are always welcome.
